How many awards are enough?

Ray Keefe and his team at Successful Endeavours in Melbourne have been on quite a winning streak these last few years, amassing a collection of 18 business and innovation awards, the 2 most recent ones a few weeks ago…

Here’s the thing about winning awards:

  • Awards create instant credibility (if you don’t have enough of it already)
  • Awards build belief once you have credibility
  • Awards are exponential because they attract instant media attention
  • Awards make you, your team and your clients feel good
  • Awards are the reward for a job well done

Most small businesses struggle with… credibility… Hmmm…

Something to think about the next next time you’re wondering where the next job, project or contract is going to come from. You can start with this list of Australian Business Awards.

  • Hi Marc,
In our opinion, you can never have enough awards. Like you said, they build credibility, boost company morale and provide a ‘talking point’ to media. They also make it much easier to communicate the benefits and advantages of your organisation to your prospects because you have higher respect.

We actively promote all our awards on our GraffitiEaters homepage, which relate to general business excellence (we are a 35 year old company going stronger than ever), specific industry excellence (graffiti removal) and customer satisfaction, which is and always has been, very important.

With digital word of mouth becoming more commonplace on the Internet, it is imperative that excellence and customer service is treated with a high priority.

We were also delighted to receive the 2012 Exponential Idol award, highlighting our use of state-of-the-art cloud based systems for graffiti removal management.

Perhaps more importantly, promoting your awards is a fantastic opportunity to let your competitors know just how good you are and for your team to pat themselves on the back for a job well done!– although I’m a modest person, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with showing a little pride, once in a while!

  • I agree Steve,

we also have our most recent awards on our home page and then a page just for our awards which cover both technical awards for our Electronics Design Engineering services and also the Business Awards for our business.

More than ever, when a budget for copy writing and graphics can make any business look the way they want to, potential buyers want to know that there is real substance behind a business and not just a good looking site or brochure.
