This explanation is TOTALLY BRILLIANT… I wish we had visuals like this when I was in school.
We all have SPECIALIST expertise which is great, but at the same time is IMPOTENT unless it can be effectively leveraged to create value for our ‘audiences’. These can be sales prospects, students, kids, friends, family members, staff, even existing clients.
Knowing how to do this is WHERE THE VALUE EXISTS — NOT IN KNOWING (in this example, geometry).
As experts, we often get too enamoured with our own expertise, knowledge and experience and forget to make it accessible, digestible for our various audiences.
This is much HARDER than it looks… but the REWARDS for learning to Dussault are HUGE.
